about rushing sigma chi

During the course of your college career, you will have several chances to become involved in campus organizations. One avenue for your consideration is membership in a fraternity. By participating in fraternity rush, you will meet men of different temperaments, talents, and convictions. You must ultimately choose the group that is right for you. To assist you in making this crucial decision, Sigma Chi offers rushees the chance to be part of one of the strongest, most renowned, and most prestigious international fraternities in the Greek world. Sigma Chi has initiated more than 243,000 brothers in its 145-year history, the second largest number of any Greek-letter organization. One of the greatest aspects for being chosen to enter the realm of Sigma Chi is the fact that unlike many Greek organizations, brotherhood does not end when you leave college. In fact, there are more than 115 alumni chapters worldwide to help facilitate the idea of unending brotherhood.

anti-hazing policy

Gamma Omega takes a firm stance against hazing. We believe that joining a fraternity should make one's college experience memorable, not miserable. Unlike many fraternities, we believe in the inherent value of all individuals and subsequently, we treat others with respect and dignity. Pledging, we feel, should be a process of learning, inspiration, and achievement; not one of hazing, degradation, or humiliation.
